TRC After-School Registration & Program FAQ

Q. What is the cost for the TRC After-School Program?
A. The price is $65 per week per child and includes a snack each day.

Q. Do you offer reduced tuition rates for income eligible families?
A. Yes. TRC After-School Program will be a CAPS provider site; which will cover up to 100% of tuition for income eligible families. To apply visit their website at https://caps.decal.ga.gov/en/.

Q. What schools drop-off at TRC?
A. Brockett Elementary, Livsey Elementary and Midvale Elementary will drop off your child/children at TRC.

Q. From which schools does TRC pick-up children?
A. TRC picks-up children for the TRC After-School Program from Idlewood Elementary, Henderson Mill Elementary, Smoke Rise Elementary and Tucker Middle School.

Q. How do I register my child for the TRC After-School Program?
A. Registration can be done in person at the Tucker Recreation Center or online here.

Q. Do I need to create an account to register my child/children for the TRC After-School Program?
A. New users will need to create and account to register for the program. If you’ve created an account with us before, DO NOT CREATE A NEW ONE. If you’re not able to login or have lost your login information, contact us at the Rec Center, (470)–481-0205.

Q. When can I register my child/children for the TRC After-School Program?
A. You will be allowed to register online once you fill out the Guardian’s Profile and the Child’s Profile.

Q. When do I need to turn in my forms and my child/children's immunization records?
A. All Original Hardcopy and Immunization records are due August 3rd.

Q. What time period does the first round of registration cover?
A. Our first round of registration is for the first 8 weeks of the school year, August 6th – September 28th. You can register for all 8 weeks at one time.

Q. Do I need to pay in advance to guarantee my child has a spot in the program for the entire session?
A. No, you do not need to pre-pay for the entire session however, TO GUARANTEE A SPOT TO ATTEND ALL WEEKS – you must register for each week. Select the Specific Pay Plan in Step 6 of registration and click CASH or CHECK. This will hold the spot and allow you to pay week-to-week.

Q. When are tuition payments due each week?
A. Payments are due the Sunday before the next week begins and will be accepted until Midnight, the Sunday they are due.

Q. Is there a penalty for late payment?
A. Late dues are $10, and will be enforced from Midnight, Sunday until 9pm Monday.  If payment is not received by Monday @ 9pm, your child will be unenrolled.

Q. What are the consequences of my child/children being unenrolled for late/missed payments?
A. If your child is removed due to late or missed payments, your child/children will ineligible to enroll for the remainder of the 2018-19 school year.

Q. What happens if I miss the registration deadline and there are no openings for my child/children?
A. During the 8 week period, participants will be notified when upcoming weeks are opening. If there are open spots, that will be made public. Parents of children already enrolled will receive 1st priority for future weeks. 2nd priority will go to families on the waitlist.
