Tucker Kicks Off Spring Break Week with Photo Scavenger Hunt

TUCKER, Ga. (March 30, 2019) – The City of Tucker’s Parks and Recreation Department is kicking off a week of Spring Break activities Monday with their first-ever Photo Scavenger Hunt at Henderson Park. Adventurers are invited to bring their camera and a comfortable pair of hiking or walking shoes to the Lake Erin Pavilion at the park between 10 a.m. and dusk to search for a pre-determined list of Tucker-themed items. Tucker Parks and Recreation staff will be set up at the pavilion to check that the list has been completed. Once completed, the first 30 participants will be rewarded with a Henderson Park t-shirt courtesy of All-Pro Graphics.

“We can’t wait to get people out in the park to kick off their Spring Break,” said Recreation Leader Joe Stewart. “This is going to be a fun way to help people explore the White Trail at Henderson Park, one of the real jewels of Tucker’s parks system.”

Organizers remind participants that once they find an item, they are to photograph it and then leave it in its hiding place, so that other people have a chance to complete the scavenger hunt. Pets are welcome to accompany on the hunt, but they must be on a leash.

The remaining Spring Break activities will include a Trail Mix Hike on April 3 at Smoke Rise Park and a free youth basketball clinic on April 6 at Peters Park. Details on both events can be found at tuckerga.gov/parks.
