NETWorks Good Neighbor Christmas Shop
Bring toy donations to boxes located at The Recreation Center, City Annex, or City Hall. All donations will used to stock the “shop” where qualifying parents can later shop for toys at pennies on the dollar. Boxes will be out for donations starting today through December 6th.

Love finding money in your pocket? Well this is like putting money in someone’s pocket without the lawsuit. Either throw some quarters in the change slot or put it in an envelope taped to the front. This is sure to make someone’s day!

Thank a Service Man or Women
Find some time today to some way thank a past or present member of our Armed Forces. Ideas include: shaking their hand, making a social media post, writing a letter, sending a care package, or paying their tab. Don’t know one? Tucker’s Parks and Recreation Director, Rip Robertson is a Staff Sergeant in the US Army Reserve with 19 years of Active Duty under his belt. Or, Chris Satterfield, one of our Recreation Assistants at the Recreation Center is a US Army Veteran. Come by and say hi, and wish them Happy Holidays!

Food Drive
Donations will always be accepted, but let’s get this busy month started off right by stocking the food pantry that’s located right here in the Tucker Recreation Center.

Warming Thoughts Quilt
Come help create one of Tucker Recreation Center’s first original pieces! Create your very own quilt square that will be one piece of “Warming Thoughts” Quilt, to be hung and displayed at the Tucker Recreation Center.

Holiday Movie at Tucker Rec
Start their Holiday season off right by watching a Holiday movie with popcorn and drinks at the Tucker Recreation Center, starting at 6:00 p.m.

TRC Writes Litter Chexs
Your Parks and Rec Department is getting ready to open up it’s check book today! Or should I say, ‘Chex’ book!? Go outside and pick up at least 20 pieces of trash. Take a picture of your haul, come show the friendly staff at the front desk of the Tucker Recreation Center, and we will give you some Chex Mix!

Start bringing your toys for donation to the Tucker Recreation Center beginning now through Monday, December 23rd.

Let Someone in Front of you in Line
This is a simple one. Whether it’s in line at the grocery store or sitting in traffic. Stop rushing and let someone go in front of you!
DAY SEVENTEEN: DECEMBER 11
Waffles/Make Someone a Special Meal
Show your appreciation for a loved one today by cooking them a special meal. Whether this is a bowl of their favorite cereal in the morning or filet mignon for dinner, it’s up to you. And how are we showing that appreciation you ask? Well, waffles of course! Stop by the Rec Center anytime today between 8:00am and 10:00am for some waffles with a variety of toppings to choose from!
DAY EIGHTEEN: DECEMBER 12
Make a 'Merry' Bookmark
Using cardstock, construction paper, or plain ol’ paper, decorate a bookmark using kind words, positive messages, or inspirational sayings. Take the bookmark, and leave it behind in a library book someone else to find.
DAY NINTEEN: DECEMBER 13
The Great Cookie Party
Bake some cookies and then come get some cookies! A cookie exchange will be held at the Tucker Recreation Center Auditorium starting at 6pm. Bring 2 dozen of your favorite Holiday cookies and copies of the recipe (sorry, family secrets that cannot be shared not allowed!). Cut a few up to be tasted and judged by other participants. Then when all is said in done, trade, swap, and share cookies and recipes alike!

Bubble Bath on Us
This is not as weird as the title sounds! Simply, stop by the Tucker Rec Center and get the supplies needed to sit back, relax, and enjoy a well-deserved bubble bath.

Pay Another Person's Bill
Whether you are in line at the grocery store, getting your morning coffee, or sitting at a local restaurant, step up, pay it forward, and pay for someone else’s bill!

We all get cases of “The Mondays”, and with all the stress this time of year, the Mondays can be even worse! Show some kindness to yourself and to others, by committing to not complaining today!
