City Manager

The City Manager is charged with seeing that all laws and ordinances are enforced. She ensures the business affairs of the City are efficiently handled, while exercising control over all departments in the City. She attends all meetings of the Mayor and City Council with the right to take part in all discussions but having no vote. She prepares and submits an annual budget and annual financial report to the Mayor and City Council. She negotiates and approves all contracts, purchases or obligations on behalf of the City as allowed within the City Code. She hires department heads and employees, as required.

Tami Hanlin
City Manager

Tami Hanlin is Tucker’s first City Manager. She earned her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and her Master of Public Administration from Oakland University. She spent a decade in City Management in several Michigan cities before coming south to Georgia in 2001. After serving in executive roles with the Cities of Milton and Sandy Springs, she was named City Manager of Tucker in 2016.

Cindy Jenkins, P.E.
Assistant City Manager

Cindy Jenkins is Tucker’s Assistant City Manager. She earned her undergraduate degree from Auburn University before embarking upon a career in municipal public works. An engineer by trade, Cindy spent a decade in the City of Johns Creek ultimately serving as Deputy Public Works Director before coming to the City of Tucker as Assistant City Manager in 2017.
