TUCKER, Ga. (March 26, 2018) – As they continue to explore new partnerships, Tucker’s Parks and Recreation Department announced Monday an agreement to bring free meditation classes to the patrons of Tucker Recreation Center.
Starting April 4, Primordial Sound Meditation will be offered each Wednesday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The classes will be led by Nancy Foster Penn, LCSW, who has her certification from the Chopra Institute. The goal of the classes is to reduce everyday stress and improve overall well-being.
“We’re so excited that Nancy is bringing this program to Tucker Rec,” said Center Manager Tom McDermott. “We encounter more and more people asking for yoga and meditation classes at the Rec Center. Now, through this partnership, we’re able to offer Primordial Sound Meditation at no cost to the participant. Hopefully you’re going to see the overall stress level around Tucker drop starting April 4.”
