Several Tucker Businesses Plan September Openings

TUCKER, Ga. (September 6, 2017) – The month of September will mark a business boom in the City of Tucker as four companies are either opening their doors for the first time or celebrating big expansions.

The first company to celebrate its grand opening will be Custom Crafts by You. The family-owned craft studio will offer DIY classes at their location at 4292 Railroad Avenue in Downtown Tucker. A ribbon cutting is scheduled for September 7.

On September 18, Floral Hills Funeral Home and Memory Gardens will welcome the public for a ribbon cutting of their brand-new expansion project. Located at 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Floral Hills has served the community’s funeral and cremation needs since 2009.

Two businesses at the new Tucker Meridian shopping center will celebrate their grand openings toward the end of the month. Newk’s Eatery is expected to open its newest location the week of September 18 with a ribbon cutting. Nothing Bundt Cakes opened on September 3, but will host a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting on September 23.

“It’s great to see such a diversity of businesses opening this month in Tucker,” says Community and Economic Development Director John McHenry. “From national brands to mom and pop shops, this is truly reflective of the business growth we’ve seen since the start of cityhood.”

One of the fastest-growing commercial destinations in Metro Atlanta, the City of Tucker has received more than 200 applications for business licenses already in 2017.
