Thornridge Lane Becomes First Tucker Street Resurfaced with SPLOST Funds

TUCKER, Ga. (August 15, 2018) – The City of Tucker celebrated its first SPLOST-funded road resurfacing project this morning on Thornridge Lane. Mayor Frank Auman was joined by members of the City Council, as well as DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond to cut the ribbon on the first of 23 road resurfacing projects scheduled to be complete in the City by the end of the year.

“This has been a partnership with the City and the County all the way through,” said Mayor Auman. “The result is that everybody in DeKalb has a local government making decisions on their behalf right in their own neighborhoods about what’s important, what priorities are and how to go about getting it done.”

CEO Thurmond agreed, telling the crowd it’s a “great day for Tucker, great day for DeKalb.”

You can find a complete list of SPLOST-funded road resurfacing projects for 2018 on the City of Tucker’s SPLOST webpage.
