Railroad Work to Close Two Tucker Streets

Brockett Road Lawrenceville HwyTUCKER, Ga. (August 6, 2019) – CSX will be performing maintenance work next week on the railroad that cuts through the heart of Tucker, meaning some drivers will need to use detours to complete their daily commute.

Montreal and Brockett Roads will be shut down at their railroad crossings from 6 a.m. Monday until 6 a.m. Saturday, according to the railroad’s project managers. Alternate routes for drivers trying to connect between Lawrenceville Highway and Lavista Road include Fellowship Road and Northlake Parkway. CSX will have electronic message boards out this week to alert drivers to the work.

Because of the potential for weather or other factors, this construction schedule is subject to change. Should the work be completed ahead of schedule Montreal and Brockett could reopen early.
