Tucker Opens City Municipal Court

Environmental Court, Tucker GA.TUCKER, Ga. (January 15, 2020) – Court is in session in the City of Tucker. Today, for the first time, the City will host municipal court proceedings at the City Hall Annex (4228 First Avenue). Previously, the City hosted court dates in neighboring Clarkston through an intergovernmental agreement.

“This is another step in Tucker’s growth as a city,” said City Clerk Bonnie Warne, who oversees the City’s court system. “We are grateful to Clarkston for their partnership these past couple years, but we are excited to progress to the point where we can host these court dates ourselves.”

Tucker’s municipal court convenes twice a month, on the third and fourth Wednesdays beginning at 10 a.m. The first session, which is being held today, is for environmental court. That session brings about resolution to citations from Tucker’s Code Enforcement Department. The second session is for offenses cited by DeKalb County’s Tucker Precinct police.

Anyone with questions about citations or court dates can call (678) 597-9040 or email info@tuckerga.gov.
