TUCKER, Ga. (March 15, 2021) – Tucker’s Parks and Recreation Department is keeping an annual tradition going. On April 3, staff will welcome the community to Fitzgerald Park for Tucker’s largest Easter weekend Egg Hunt. Children from toddlers to 12 will be divided by age group and have the chance to hunt for 7,000 eggs across several of Fitzgerald’s fields.
“We’re excited to be able to offer this activity for children in the community,” said Tucker Recreation Leader Jen Young. “With schools going back face-to-face, we thought this would be a great opportunity to host a safe, in-person event that complies with CDC protocols.”
Participants will be required to have their temperatures taken upon arrival at the event and wear masks for the duration of the hunt. This is the third year that Tucker’s Parks and Recreation Department has organized an “egg” event. In 2019, they hosted a traditional egg hunt for hundreds of children at Kelley Cofer Park. Last year, because of the pandemic, the event was modified to a drive-thru egg giveaway.
