City of Tucker to Swear In Mayor, Three New Councilmembers

TUCKER, Ga. (January 7, 2022) – Members of Tucker’s new City Council will be sworn in and seated on Tuesday night as part of the City’s first Council meeting of 2022. Roger Orlando (District 1), Cara Schroeder (District 2), and Alexis Weaver (District 3) each won election last November and will take the oath of office, joining Virginia Rece (District 1), Noelle Monferdini (District 2), and Anne Lerner (District 3) on Council. Frank Auman, the first and only mayor in Tucker’s short history, won his third term in office and will take the oath, as well.

The swearing in ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. at City Hall (1975 Lakeside Parkway, Suite 350B) with City Council business being taken up immediately thereafter. Space in the Council Chamber is limited and, in light of the rising number of COVID cases, residents are encouraged to watch the swearing in on Zoom if at all possible.
