Tucker City Council Approves Hotel Annexation

TUCKER, Ga. (April 10, 2017) – The City of Tucker officially welcomed its newest neighbor on Monday night, as City Council voted 6-0 to grant the annexation request of the Masters Inn.  The hotel, which is located at 1435 Montreal Road and just inside the Perimeter, has been completely remodeled by owners Rocky and Sam Patel. It now features 105 rooms with brand new beds, mattresses and flat-screen televisions, as well as perks like free Wi-Fi and morning coffee service.

The Patels petitioned the City for annexation in March, saying they wanted the benefits of having their hotel in a small town that was also business-friendly.

The annexation further bolsters Tucker’s reputation as a destination for doing business. Later this month, Sprouts Farmers Market will open its doors at the new Tucker Meridian development on Lavista Road. Fellow retailers Dick’s Sporting Goods, Ross Dress for Less and DSW will open in that same development later in the Spring.

If you know of a resident or business that is interested in becoming a part of the City of Tucker, check out the City’s dedicated annexation webpage.
