Tucker High Graduation Rate Among Best in Metro Atlanta

Tucker High SchoolTUCKER, Ga. (November 2, 2016) – Tucker High School saw an increase in its graduation rate in 2016 to 90.4 percent, one of the highest rates in Metro Atlanta.

According to statistics released by the Georgia Department of Education, Tucker had a 3.5 percentage point increase in its graduation rate from 2015, making it one of just five high schools in DeKalb County to achieve that amount of progress year-over-year.

Countywide, students are graduating at a rate of 70.3 percent. Tucker’s mark is the highest of any non-magnet public school in DeKalb County.

The graduation rate at Tucker High has skyrocketed since 2011. That class graduated 72.4 percent of its seniors, meaning the school has shown a nearly 25 percent improvement in just a five-year span.

Tucker High School is located on Lavista Road in downtown Tucker and serves approximately 1,800 students in grades 9-12.
