“I first got to know Jennifer and Joe Winterscheidt through our mutual commitment to Tucker. We were volunteering with Tucker 2014/2015 and Jennifer helped plan many great events. That seems like ages ago!
Throughout our journey to cityhood Jennifer and Joe were always so generous with their time and talents. As former teachers and the parents of two incredible sons, they are truly dedicated to the success of our Tucker students. Throughout their sons’ school years, they’ve served as PTO board members at Livsey Elementary, Tucker Middle and Tucker High, plus volunteered with a variety of school clubs and activities. Joe is currently on the board of the Tucker High School Foundation and Jennifer was the 2018-2019 president of the Tucker Tigers Band Parent Association. They also helped revive the tradition of the Tucker Road Race on Tucker Day in support of the THS Band and Orchestra.
I’m thankful Jennifer has stayed involved with the City by serving on our Tucker Tomorrow Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee. She’s also quite a talented singer, lending her wonderful voice to the newly established Tucker Community Singers. I’m sure I’ve forgotten to mention something here, as Joe and Jennifer exemplify what I like to call ‘The Tucker Way’! It’s about putting others before yourself and working together for the good of the entire community. It’s about dedicating your time and talent and giving your all even when you think you have nothing left to give. That’s what the Winterscheidts do every day!”
