Brockett Elementary
• As they seek International Baccalaureate (IB) certification, 12 of 26 teachers at Brockett have begun their coursework to become IB certified. 

Idlewood Elementary
• Last month, the team at Idlewood kicked off their One Million Word Challenge, a yearlong effort to ensure students are reading.

Livsey Elementary
• For the first time, Livsey is participating in the popular STEM program “Girls Who Game”. This is the second year they’ve participated in “Girls Who Code”. 

Smoke Rise Elementary
• The school received a $5,000 donation from Smoke Rise Civic Association which enabled them to purchase items for outdoor classrooms like tables and chairs. 

Tucker High
• On October 1, Tucker will hold its annual Homecoming festivities. In addition to the football game against North Atlanta, there will be the customary parade down Main Street. For the second straight year, there will be no Homecoming Dance due to the pandemic.
