Brockett Elementary
• Brockett will hold virtual awards for kindergarten through 4th grade with an in-person awards ceremony and Fun Day for 5th graders.
• Informational videos will be recorded for parents of new kindergarteners to familiarize them with the school.
Idlewood Elementary
• Idlewood’s Career Day will be held on May 13.
• Field Day will take place in person this year at Idlewood Elementary.
Livsey Elementary
• The PTO held their Spring Festival on April 28.
• The students of Livsey will participate in experiments under the supervision of the scientist known as “The Science Machine”.
Midvale Elementary
• A community event will be held by the PTO on May 13 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for students to socialize.
• Professional Learning based in the Orton-Gillingham Approach will be held school-wide.
Smoke Rise Elementary
• A contest to design a bookmark is being held; the winning design will be printed for the whole school.
• STEM Nights will highlight the accomplishments of each grade level.
Tucker Middle
• Dr. Debbie Satterfield has assumed the role of principal for Tucker Middle School as of April 25.
• Lori Hanford was awarded the Unsung Hero Award for the impact of her “Check and Connect” program.
