TUCKER TOWN GREEN IS ON SCHEDULE FOR COMPLETION

Construction continues to move forward and now upward as foundations have been laid and filled. Last month, the Mayor and Council approved a contract for commissioned sculpture art for the northwest corner of the green. The selection committee was made up of various stakeholders and local artists, and all were very excited to offer the award to Phil Proctor of Nucleus Sculpture Studio, LLC. The commissioned piece will use steel to create an artistic representation of the standard TKR that reflects Tucker’s industrial past and its sense of community.
