Special Called Meeting Set for January 9
January 4, 2023
Tucker, Ga. (January 4, 2023) – A special called meeting will be held on Monday January 9 at 6 p.m. before the regularly-scheduled City Council meeting for the Mayor and Council to review and approve the final renderings of the new Tucker Town Green Park Master Plan.
“The objective for this meeting is to gain consensus from the Mayor and Councilmembers on the park plan and to move forward with the engineering and construction documents for this vital project,” said Parks and Recreation Director Rip Robertson. “This is also key to allow the public an opportunity to view these plans prior to moving to the next step.”
A team from Barge Design Solutions first introduced plans for the Tucker Town Green and received public feedback during a community meeting on July 28, 2022. Their renderings see the lot at the corner of Railroad Avenue and 2nd Street transformed into a multi-use space that integrates a portion of the Tucker Trail and will serve as a center for future City events.
The special called meeting will be held in the City Hall Council Chambers (1975 Lakeside Parkway, Suite 350B). Residents may also view the meeting over Zoom. The meeting agenda and Zoom link are available on our Calendar page.
