Tucker Youth Council Applications Open Now

The City of Tucker has opened applications for its inaugural Tucker Youth Council. Participants will help the City create projects and community activities and assist in the decision-making process. Applicants have until August 19 to submit their information on the online application page at tuckerga.gov/youth
“The creation of a Youth Council has been a dream of mine for a while, now,” shared Sonja Szubski, Communications Director for the City of Tucker. “Teaming up with Parks and Recreation was a logical step and is really what made this possible. I hope our high schoolers are as excited as we are to get started!”
Participants must be in their sophomore through senior years of high school and reside within the City of Tucker. They must commit to a full year term including monthly meetings from September through May 2027, and they may reapply at the end of their term.
Once applications are reviewed, a panel of City staff will conduct interviews in late August and early September to select the cohort before the kickoff meeting September 16. The Youth Council will continue to meet the third Wednesday of each month through April and may attend an optional End of Year Celebration in May.
