City Council Wrap Up – 10.7.26

October 7, 2026

Tucker’s Mayor and City Council held a special called meeting October 7, 2026 to address several contracts.

Mayor Lerner made a point to explain that the proposed termination of the City Manager’s contract is not a termination of employment. Rather this is an opportunity to renegotiate the Manager’s contract to reflect the changing needs of the City. The motion passed unanimously.

The Council voted unanimously to terminate the contracts with Jacobs and Connect South, LLC. Jacobs initially started the contract with the City as CH2M and supplied the majority of staffing and services since the start of the City. Connect South was also one of the earlier contracts and provided lobbying services on behalf of City interests.

Additionally, the Mayor and Council voted unanimously to expand the contract with Civic Forward Strategies for governmental affairs services.

The City of Tucker’s Mayor and Council meet every second and fourth Mondays of each month at City Hall, 1975 Lakeside Parkway, Suite 350. Live streaming and recordings of meetings can be found online at tuckerga.gov/agendas or YouTube.com/cityoftucker.
