City Council Wrap Up 6.22.26

June 23, 2026

Tucker’s Mayor and Council held the second meeting of the month last night. While the second meeting is typically reserved as a work session with no voting, last night was an exception to allow for the adoption of the millage rate and approve a contract with Safebuilt for fire marshal services. Both items were approved unanimously.

A presentation on the progress of the Henderson Park Master Plan was presented by the contracted vendor, Cooper Carry. There will be another opportunity for public input on July 16, 6:30-8:00 p.m. at City Hall.

The Mayor and Council then received a presentation on the May financials and potential Upcoming Agenda Items.

They recessed for executive session to discuss matters of personnel, real estate and litigation. Upon return the Council approved the 3% cost of living salary increases of the two direct employees of the elected body, the City Clerk and the City Manager.

The City of Tucker’s Mayor and Council meet every second and fourth Mondays of each month at City Hall, 1975 Lakeside Parkway, Suite 350. Live streaming and recordings of meetings can be found online at tuckerga.gov/agendas or YouTube.com/cityoftucker
