TUCKER, Ga. (April 3, 2020) – Students in need of a meal will be able to come to the Tucker Recreation Center beginning on Monday. The City of Tucker is partnering with the Bright from the Start Emergency Feeding Program to distribute dinners for children who are experiencing food insecurity.
The giveaway is a drive-thru pickup system being run in the back parking lot of Tucker Recreation Center. Children 18 and under can pick up dinner between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The child must be present for the meal to be given.
The City of Tucker is partnering with Georgia Nutritional Services, Inc. on this state-funded program. For more details, email parks@tuckerga.gov. Tucker Recreation Center is located at 4898 Lavista Road. It is temporarily closed during the coronavirus outbreak.
